About Arthi:
Arthi Chandra is a very serious director, writer, and lesbian based out of Vancouver, BC. She has directed and produced with many companies in both BC and Ontario (The Arts Club, Bard on the Beach, The Shaw Festival, Theatre Replacement, The Chop Theatre, Studio 58, Pacific Theatre, UBC, and more). Arthi teaches devising and directing at the post-secondary level and enjoys it very much. She graduated from Simon Fraser University’s School of Contemporary Arts; was recently part of WhyNot Theatre’s ThisGen fellowship; and is an Associate Artist at Theatre Replacement. She also acts, and is the happiest while cooking or gardening.

Tara is known for her unique and dynamic hybrid of dance, comedy and theatre. She is sought after for creating innovative movement for theatre and has performed her full length solos and ensemble works around the world (highlights: DanceBase/Edinburgh, South Bank Centre/London, On the Boards/Seattle USA, High Performance Rodeo/Calgary etc.). Recent works include a collaboration with Italian dance/performance artist Silvia Gribaudi, empty.swimming.pool, (Castiglioncello, Bassano, Victoria and Vancouver), ensemble creation, how to be, which premiered at The Cultch, and her solo I can’t remember the word for I can’t remember, toured widely, and her newest solo Body Parts has been made into a stunning film which is currently touring virtually. About Mary:
Mary Hartman (she/her) has combined an academic background and experience as a professional actor and director to create opportunities for people all ages to learn through participating in Shakespeare performance. Mary has played a variety of roles professionally including Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Olivia in Twelfth Night, Horatio in Hamlet and Phebe in As You Like It and has directed productions of Shakespeare’s plays in extraordinary situations, from a seven-person workshop of Measure for Measure to Julius Caesar with 150 fourth graders. As Director of Education at Bard on the Beach, she has designed and developed many new programs to inspire community through Shakespeare. She has traveled extensively to share strategies through associations of teachers and theatre professionals. She holds a master’s degree from King’s College, University of London and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, and has received numerous awards and honours.

About Christina:
Christina Cook (she/they) is an interdisciplinary theatre artist, arts-based scholar, and therapist. When Christina was a kid, she wanted to be a counsellor like her favourite character, Deanna Troi, on Star Trek, OR she wanted to act alongside Deanna Troi, starring in her favourite TV show, Star Trek. She feels lucky that, as an adult, she gets to do different versions of both. Christina’s playwriting focuses on trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming narratives, and her work advocates gender liberation for all. She is writing and performing in one of her newest pieces, Postcards to My Younger Transexual Self (or YTS), Ages 0-119. Christina’s previous writing credits include the play Quick Bright Things, which was nominated for a Governor General’s award, and ‘A practical (if dated) treatise on the art of genderqueer dancing’ in Evan Tsitsias and Bilal Baig’s This is Beyond: A Time Capsule of Queer Experience. She is currently an Associate at Playwrights Theatre Centre, where she is developing her play Proof Enough. In addition to her artistic work, Christina is a counselling psychologist, and she strives to foster interdisciplinary work born from passionate commitments to mental wellness and theatre.

About Vanessa:
Vanessa Goodman acknowledges that she lives, works, and creates on the ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō, Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Simon Fraser University and is the artistic director of Action at a Distance Dance Society. She is drawn to art that carries meaning beyond aesthetics, using choreography as a means to explore liminal expressions within the human condition. Her choreographic practice weaves together generative movement and sonic embodiment to create immersive performative environments. Through her work, she seeks to cultivate intimacy between the body and its surroundings, challenging conventional forms of performative hierarchy through collaborative approaches. She has received several awards and honours, including The Iris Garland Emerging Choreographer Award (2013), The Yulanda M. Sarah Finn (she/they) is a performer, writer and multimedia artist making theater and film. Their work plays with found + original text and media, puppetry, clown and movement, to create landscapes of humor & freak-out. Her solo show Is this the right thing to be doing? was presented at Portland Institute of Contemporary Art in 2024, and its full-length version will premiere in Vancouver in September 2025. Tara is known for her unique and dynamic hybrid of dance, comedy and theatre. She is sought after for creating innovative movement for theatre and has performed her full length solos and ensemble works around the world (highlights: DanceBase/Edinburgh, South Bank Centre/London, On the Boards/Seattle USA, High Performance Rodeo/Calgary etc.). Recent works include a collaboration with Italian dance/performance artist Silvia Gribaudi, empty.swimming.pool, (Castiglioncello, Bassano, Victoria and Vancouver), ensemble creation, how to be, which premiered at The Cultch, and her solo I can’t remember the word for I can’t remember, toured widely, and her newest solo Body Parts has been made into a stunning film which is currently touring virtually. Tara lives on the unceded Coast Salish territories with her partner composer Marc Stewart and their child.

AUTUMN KNIGHT, is a New York based interdisciplinary artist working with performance, video, sound and text. Her work has been on view at various institutions including Human Resources Los Angeles (HRLA) Shedhalle (Zurich), The Whitney Museum of American Art, PICA (Portland Institute of Contemporary Art) The Kitchen, MCA Chicago, Museum Ostwall (Germany) BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), Performance Space New York, Her performance work, WALL, is the first live performance work acquired for the permanent collection of the Studio Museum in Harlem. Knight is the recipient of various awards, grants, honors and fellowships including Artadia Award, Art Matters Grant, Rema Hort Mann Grant, Anonymous Was a Woman Award, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the Nancy B. Negley Rome Prize in Visual Art, and a Guggenheim Fellowship and most recently the Trellis Art Fund.

Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg, is an award winning creator, performer, choreographer, director, writer, and artistic director of Tara Cheyenne Performance, working across disciplines in film, dance, theatre, and experimental performance. She is renowned as a trailblazer in interdisciplinary performance and as a mighty performer "who defies categorization on any level". Along with her own creations Tara has collaborated with many theatre companies and artists including; Zee Zee Theatre, Bard on the Beach, ItsaZoo Theatre, The Arts Club, Boca De Lupo, Ruby Slippers, The Firehall Arts Centre, Vertigo Theatre (Calgary).

About Alison:
Alison Denham lives in Vancouver where she teaches Pilates, studies Somatic Experiencing, is raising her daughter in a supportive East Van community, and as often as possible, runs the trails in North Van and swims in Lynn Creek. Her work as a dance artist spanned two decades and she had the pleasure of being a company member with Dancemakers, in Toronto, early in her career. Throughout her time as a performer she worked with many choreographers who all brought new ways of moving and thinking into her life. The list is long but to name a few... Peggy Baker, Peter Chin, Alvin Erasga Tolentino, Lola Mclaughlin, Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg and Justine A. Chambers. Ali loves one on one time with people and long luxurious hugs.
